Information about Move-In

Housing at Georgetown!

The Living Preference Questionnaire is due on June 18th, 2007.

The Office of Housing Services uses an online program called CHARMS (Campus Housing Roommate Matching System) allows students the opportunity to select their own roommate if they so choose. CHARMS will run from June 20th to July 17th.

Want to see the residence halls?

Please read over the Residence Hall & Townhouse Occupancy Agreement 2007-2008 Academic Year and then follow the link to New Student Housing Information to fill out your Living Preference Form online! This document is for your reference only; the electronic agreement will be available online in early August once you have received your housing assignment.

Move in Information

Please go to the New Student Move-In Page on the Georgetown University Housing website for the most correct an updated information regarding move-in 2006.  If you have any questions, please call 202-687- 4560 or e-mail them at: campushousing@georgetown.edu.

New Student Move-In will be conducted over a two-day period.

First year students are scheduled to arrive on campus either Friday, August 24 or Saturday, August 25, 2007 depending upon your residence hall assignment.

You will be notified of your assignment and scheduled arrival date the first week of August. Friday move-in hours will be from 6:00 p.m. until 11:00 p.m. Saturday move-in hours will be from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

During the times and hours listed above, Move-In Aides and New Student Orientation staff will be available to assist you in moving in and getting settled. We ask that you pack and clearly label all of your belongings with name, hall and room number so that they can be unloaded into carts and transported to you room. Please be aware that the law in the District of Columbia requires that we recycle all boxes and packing materials. It would be helpful if you do not use the Styrofoam peanut packing material since it does not recycle.
